VILLA DETAILS
Be transported back to the 18th century in this old farmhouse surrounded with 18 hectares of meadows, fields, vineyards and forests. There are old spruces at the back of the villa, the road winds up to the house on the hill, the wine cellar underneath it and there is a two hundred year old cherry tree. This old beauty has preserved its original looks, and provides peace and relaxation. Sit on the terrace with a glass of excellent Slovenian wine, feast on the greenery and fresh air and plan your day trips to the gorgeous sites and towns of this lovely little country.
You need to know that this is a house with a history and is a listed building. Every original detail has been preserved: characteristic windows and antique wooden beds, wash basins, the French bath in the main bathroom and the old kitchens. It has now become a farmhouse where animals are being bred and free roam outdoors. The wine cellar, the enormous mill from 1837 and the original wooden barrels represent the history of the house.
The riverside town of Ptuj is just a few minutes away by car and it is the oldest town in Slovenia. There is also a lake where summer sports are available: from jet-ski to tennis and volleyball. Ptuj is very famous for its mask carnival called 'Kurent' which takes place in February. Lovely wine, food, lakes and rivers, great shopping in the carnival city of Ptuj. Magical castles, nearby spas and a visit to the Red Riding hood forest Mohorova Graba is a must.
