The location of the three bedroom rental apartment Thousand Flowers is perfect, between the two of the most famous and popular Slovenia vacation spots - Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. Lake Bled epitomises the charm of the Alpine Slovenia and is famous for its own small island with a church and castle, instantly recognisable all over the world. Lake Bled is suitable for swimming and has several beaches or piers from where you can enjoy swimming and water sports in the long summer and spring months. Lake Bohinj is larger and beautiful for swimming and active holidays and leads you to the wonderful Bohinj Valley and the Triglav National Park. Serious hikers will enjoy the well signed trails in the Julian Alps but there are many fabulous, easy walks, rock climbing and climbing schools, cycling with a guide and fly fishing.

On lakes Bled and Bohinj you can go swimming, paddling in a boat, sailing and wind surfing. River Sava is good for kayaking, canoeing and white water rafting. All adventure sports such as paragliding or caving are beloved of Slovenians.

The apartment has three bedrooms, one bathroom and three balconies from which there is a fantastic view of the green valley. The whole of the villa's garden is dedicated to the guests staying in this apartment and the small ground floor apartment. There is a lovely barn which also serves as a storage room. The charming landlady walks all summer collecting flowers from the local fields and after drying them, she uses her home made brandy to infuse the flowers, which give an amazing flavour of this organic, mountain liqueur which you will be able to sample.

ACCOMMODATION

Apartment Thousand Flowers comprises 105 square metres and occupies the top floor of a family villa in a pretty village, five minutes' drive from the famous Slovenian landmark of Lake Bled.

Interior

All accommodation is on one floor - the second floor, which is also the top floor. From the hallway there is entry into the sitting room and separately, a kitchen which is equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker and hob, dishwasher, coffee maker, cooking utensils and tableware. The sitting room consist of a sofa bed (sleeps two people) and chairs, a TV and storage cupboard/wardrobe. Two bedrooms furnished in the rustic Slovenian style have double beds and wardrobes. The third bedroom consists of bunk beds and a single bed. Each bedroom has a balcony with magical views. All bed linen and towels are included.

Laundry

A washing machine, drying rack, iron and ironing board plus extra storage are on the ground floor and can be shared with the one bedroom apartment on the ground floor.

OUTSIDE

The garden of this family villa is the focal point of your Slovenia vacation! Large lawn extends into the green fields where horses and sheep slowly graze and meadows are full of Alpine flowers. Further on there are wooded hills and mountains. This is all so calming and the fresh air invigorates you whilst you relax listening to the small stream with lotus flowers and fish. The garden flowers provide a riot of colours and in a shaded hut there is a barbecue and a rustic table for outdoor eating.

A charming period barn is used for storage but provides another rustic element in the garden. There is also a swing seat and more seating on rustic benches.
