Murska Sobota - Local and Tourist Information

Murska Sobota is the regional centre of Pomurje, the northeast part of Slovenia. The local museum (Pokrajinski muzej) provides a history of the town and region. There is excellent walking and hiking in the region and instruction in Nordic walking can be provided. The nearby thermal springs and health resort at Rogaska Toplice offer a range of treatments with the thermal waters considered to have a soothing effect for rheumatic diseases and certain skin conditions. The complex has numerous pools, water slides and other sporting facilities. There is an 18 hole golf course close by.
